Last Updated: 14.08.2026  ·  Version: 1.1  ·  Effective Date: 14.08.2026

We respect the privacy of visitors to our website and comply with applicable data protection laws. Where relevant, this includes in particular the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union (“GDPR”).

This Privacy Policy Website covers:

Website(s):

  • breezer.now

Categories of data subjects:

  • Visitors to our website (website users)

This policy applies to the Website only. Our mobile app has its own separate policy here: Privacy Policy App.

1. Data Protection, Responsibility and Scope

The controller responsible for the processing of your personal data under this Privacy Policy Website is Breezer. If you have any questions or want to exercise your rights, contact us at: info@breezer.now.

In the following, we explain:

  • for which purposes personal data is processed,
  • which categories of personal data are affected,
  • on which legal basis we process this data (where applicable),
  • which service providers are involved (processors),
  • information about international transfers (e.g. to the USA),
  • storage periods and your rights.

2. Purposes of Personal Data Processing: Website breezer.now

2.1 Website Hosting (Vercel)

Purpose

Our website is hosted on Vercel. This is used to provide the Website reliably and securely to visitors. Vercel operates a global edge network, so requests are normally served from the location closest to you.

Data collected and processed

  • Technical information such as IP address
  • Device information (e.g., device type, operating system)
  • Browser information (e.g., version, language settings)
  • Data about the website visit (pages viewed, date and time of access, referrer URL)
  • Log data (e.g., status codes, error messages, performance data)

Legal basis

  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), where applicable.
Our legitimate interest is the secure, stable and efficient provision of the Website, prevention of misuse, and technical optimisation.

Involved processor

  • Vercel, Inc.
    340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA

2.2 User Behaviour Analytics

We use analytics technologies in the form of code snippets on our Website in order to:

  • analyse how visitors use our Website,
  • improve user experience and our content,
  • monitor and optimise visibility, and
  • understand demand.

We use two analytics services, and they are treated differently because they behave differently. Google Analytics sets cookies and may transfer data to the United States, so it runs only if you consent. PostHog runs cookieless on EU infrastructure and does not require consent.

2.2.1 Google Analytics (only with your consent)

Purpose

Google Analytics is used to analyse visitor behaviour, for example:

  • which pages are visited,
  • from which regions visitors come (approximate),
  • which content is of interest,
  • how visitors move through the Website.

Data collected and processed

  • Technical information such as IP address
  • Browser data (type, version, language)
  • Device information (device type, operating system)
  • Data about user behaviour and interactions (e.g., events, time spent on pages)
  • Referrer URL (from which website you came)
  • Cookies and similar identifiers

Legal basis

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Google Analytics is not loaded unless you explicitly enable analytics in our cookie banner, and you can withdraw that consent at any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer.

International transfers and safeguards

Data may be processed by Google on servers outside the EU/EEA, in particular in the USA. Safeguards may include:

  • participation in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (if applicable), and/or
  • the use of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.

Processor

  • Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland

2.2.2 PostHog (cookieless, no consent required)

Purpose

PostHog is used to analyse visitor behaviour, for example:

  • which pages are visited,
  • which content is of interest,
  • how visitors move through the Website,
  • whether a visit ends in a click through to the App Store or Google Play.

Data collected and processed

  • Technical information such as IP address
  • Browser data (type, version, language)
  • Device information (device type, operating system)
  • Data about user behaviour and interactions (pages viewed, time spent, clicks on our app store links)
  • Referrer URL (from which website you came)

No cookies and no device storage

We run PostHog in its cookieless mode. It does not set cookies, and it does not write anything to your browser's storage. Visits are grouped using an identifier that PostHog derives on its own servers from a value that changes daily, which means we cannot recognise you when you return on a later day and we cannot follow you across other websites.

Because nothing is stored on or read from your device, this processing does not require consent under Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (in Austria, § 165 TKG 2021). PostHog therefore runs whether or not you accept analytics in our cookie banner; that banner governs Google Analytics, which does set cookies. If you would rather PostHog did not measure your visit either, see the objection route below.

Legal basis

  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Our legitimate interest is measuring reach and improving the Website. You may object at any time under Art. 21 GDPR by contacting us, or by enabling your browser's "Do Not Track" setting, which PostHog respects.

International transfers and safeguards

None. PostHog processes this data on its European Union infrastructure, and we do not transfer it to a third country.

Processor

  • PostHog, Inc., processing on EU infrastructure (eu.i.posthog.com)

We do not use Plausible Analytics, advertising pixels or any cross-site tracking on breezer.now.

2.3 Contact via Email and Contact Form ("Get in touch")

We provide a contact email address (info@breezer.now) so you can contact us (e.g., questions, support, feedback).

We also offer a "Get in touch" contact form on the Website. When you submit the form, the information you enter is sent to a server-side webhook endpoint configured by us in order to receive, store, and process your inquiry.

Data collected and processed

  • Email address
  • Name (if provided)
  • Company (optional, if provided)
  • Phone number (optional, if provided)
  • Content of your message
  • Technical email metadata (e.g., date, time, sender, recipients, routing information)
  • Technical metadata related to form submission and processing (e.g., timestamps and server logs)

We use this information only to respond to your request, provide support, or communicate about your inquiry. We do not use contact form submissions for marketing purposes and we do not add you to a marketing list.

Legal basis

  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), where applicable, to respond to inquiries and maintain communication.
  • (Pre-)contractual obligations (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), where applicable, if your inquiry relates to a potential contract.

The Website does not provide sign-in, user accounts, newsletters, or a waitlist registration.

3. International Data Transfers and Safeguards

We may use service providers located outside the EU/EEA (e.g., for hosting and analytics). This can lead to transfers to “third countries”, including the United States.

3.1 EU–US Data Privacy Framework

For some US-based service providers, there may be an adequacy decision in place based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR), if the provider is certified.

3.2 Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)

If a provider in a third country is not covered by an adequacy decision, safeguards may include the use of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and additional technical and organisational measures where appropriate.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

This Website may store information in:

  • Cookies (set by Google Analytics, and only if you have consented to analytics)
  • Local Storage (e.g., theme preference and language choice when you select Deutsch or English)
  • Cookies (essential) to store your cookie consent choice for analytics only

PostHog is not in this list: it runs cookieless and neither writes to nor reads from your device.

You can control how your browser handles cookies and local storage (e.g., accept/block cookies, delete stored data). Please note that blocking cookies may affect analytics measurement and blocking storage may affect preferences such as theme or saved language.

5. Storage Period

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as long as we are subject to legal retention obligations.

Examples:

  • Server logs: typically retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
  • Analytics data: retention depends on the configuration of Google Analytics and Google’s systems, and on the retention period configured in our PostHog project.
  • Email communication: stored as long as needed to process your request and for documentation purposes, where applicable.
  • Contact form submissions: stored as long as needed to process your request and for documentation purposes, where applicable.

6. Data Disclosure

We disclose personal data to third parties only where:

  • this is required by law,
  • it is necessary to provide the Website, or
  • you have explicitly consented (where applicable).

We will never sell your personal data.

7. Protection of Personal Data

We protect personal data using appropriate technical and organisational measures in line with industry standards and the state of the art. Measures may include:

  • encryption of data in transit (TLS),
  • access controls, and
  • monitoring and maintenance of our Website infrastructure.

8. Withdrawal of Consent

Where processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), you have the right to withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. You can withdraw or change your analytics choice via the Cookie settings link in the footer, and you can also control cookies via your browser settings and opt-out mechanisms offered by Google (e.g., Google Analytics opt-out tools). Withdrawing consent stops Google Analytics and deletes its cookies.

PostHog is not based on consent but on our legitimate interests, so the withdrawal above does not apply to it. Instead you have a right to object under Art. 21 GDPR: enable the "Do Not Track" setting in your browser, which PostHog honours and which stops it collecting anything from your visit, or contact us at info@breezer.now.

9. Provision of Data and Consequences of Non-Provision

9.1 Website visit

Providing personal data (such as your IP address) is not legally or contractually required to simply visit our Website.

However:

  • Without processing certain technical data, the Website cannot be displayed or accessed properly.
  • If you disable cookies and storage mechanisms in your browser, some features (e.g., saved theme preference) may not work correctly.

9.2 Contacting us

If you contact us via email or via our contact form, we require at least an email address (and your message) in order to respond. Without providing this data, we cannot answer your inquiry.

10. Your Rights as a Data Subject

Where GDPR applies, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
  • Right to lodge a complaint (Art. 77 GDPR) with a supervisory authority in your country of residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement.

You can exercise your rights by contacting us at info@breezer.now.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy Website

We may update this Privacy Policy Website from time to time, for example if our Website changes, we introduce new technologies, or legal requirements change. All changes will be published on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
